MISSION STATEMENT

The New Mexico Public Safety Telecommunicators Association (NMPSTA) is an umbrella organization formed under the leadership of the New Mexico Chapters of APCO and NENA. The Mission of the NMPSTA is to assist New Mexico telecommunications professionals, their supervisors, mangers, and administrators, in developing the necessary skills needed to properly serve the citizens and visitors to the various E-911 Public Safety Answering Points in the State.

PURPOSE

The purpose of NMPSTA is to foster a training environment where members of the organization can be kept informed of all of the latest information effecting public safety telecommunications. NMPSTA shall undertake the task to represent it’s members before various communications regulatory agencies and policy-making bodies as may be appropriate; and, through it’s efforts, strive to make the public safety telecommunications recognized at the true professionals that they are.

VISION STATEMENT

The Vision of NMPSTA is to be the leading organization of ongoing training for public safety telecommunication professionals in the State of New Mexico.
